This modern anti-aging complex aims to rebalance the levels of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid lost during skin aging, resulting in wrinkles and a lack of elasticity. Hydrolyzed collagen plays a crucial role: with age, collagen production in the dermis decreases by approximately 1% per year (per unit of skin surface area). Pentapeptide-18 is a five-amino acid peptide that reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of the facial expression muscles, particularly on the forehead and around the eyes. Its effect is similar to Acetyl Hexapeptide-8: the two work together synergistically and hinder the process of muscle contraction in two different phases, preventing deep lines and wrinkles. Succinic acid promotes skin regeneration, makes the complexion smoother, lightens age spots, and makes wrinkles less visible.
